How can I join USATF?

The most efficient way to join or renew your membership is online at www.usatf.org/membership/. You may also download a membership application and send it to your local Association.

How much does it cost to join?

Membership fees are $20.00 for youth (ages 18 & under) and $30.00 for adults. Additionally, adults joining for multiple years receive a discount as follows:

What are the benefits of joining USATF?

Besides supporting your sport, there are many great benefits for being a member of USATF. Here is a brief list of the benefits offered to USATF members:

When does my membership expire?

Memberships are on a calendar year basis, and expire on December 31. However, if you join between November 1 and December 31 of the current year, the membership will be valid for the following year as well.

What if I have a multi-year membership?

Your membership will expire on the date indicated on your current membership card. If you have a multi-year membership you will receive a new membership number and card automatically each year.

Why does my membership number change each year?

Each year USATF conducts over 300 championships and relies on hundreds of volunteers to verify the membership status of each of the participants in these championships. Year-specific membership numbers provide our volunteers a means to perform a visual verification of the membership status for each participant.

What's my password and where do I find it?

If you joined online, it's:

• The password you chose during the registration process
• In the confirmation e-mail you received after registration (if you provided your e-mail address
• On the membership card mailer (the backing your card was attached to when you received it in the mail

I don't know what my password is?

Visit our Password Assistance Function to request your password be sent to you via e-mail. It will be automatically sent to you if we have your current e-mail address on file.

Why do I have a password?

USATF values the privacy of each of our members but at the same time wants to provide you with the convenience of accessing your membership profile. The password, in combination with your membership number, provides you with secure accessibility to your membership profile.

When will I receive my membership card and packet?

If you join online, your membership packet (which includes your membership card) will typically arrive in approximately three weeks. If you join by submitting a paper membership application, your packet will arrive in approximately four to six weeks.

What is the refund policy?

All membership registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
